Helping the NYU Bookstore use crowdsourcing to adapt to changes in the publishing industry.
scroll
For my NYU Wagner Capstone project, my team worked on behalf of the GovLab @ NYU to consult with the NYU Bookstore on how to utilize crowdsourcing to help them adapt to changes in publishing. After researching the issues facing the digitization of publishing, our team decided that the bookstore needed to reconsider how they are engaging students - their biggest customer. We developed the "U R NYU" t-shirt design competition where students would vote on student designs. The winning design would be featured in the window display of and sold at the NYU Bookstore.
