scroll
At the NYU Office of Sustainability, I managed the Sustainability Advocates Program (ran from 2011-2014). The program is designed to empower staff and faculty (Sustainability Advocates) to make improvements in their office operations in order to help the university meet its goals around waste diversion and energy reduction. Advocates were provided resources and trainings for how they can implement these changes with the help of their colleagues and measure their progress.
Tasks:
-
Redesigned and developed the Sustainability Advocates Program
-
Developed and tested the prototype of an assessment tool to measure participants performance in meeting climate change goals
-
Created a measurable framework to track the efficacy of sustainable tasks and sustainability advocates
Results
-
Increased engagement with Sustainability Advocates
-
A new guide and tool was provided to program participants
- Directed action of advocates helped to contribute to NYU's achievements in meeting Climate Change goals
